Easter Events and Springtime Fun

Living Tehaleh is excited to share some of the big Easter events happening around Bonney Lake this year. The holiday weekend will be packed full of fun activities for Tehaleh residents both young and old (seriously). Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on these family friendly events around town.
We hope to see you out there!

Easter Events for Adults

The Sumner/Bonney Lake Recreation Program is hosting their annual Adult Flashlight Egg Hunt on Saturday evening. Sorry but kids aren’t allowed (18+ older).

$5.00 per person, the line up starts at 8pm and lasts for one moonlit (or flashlight lit) hour.
Bonney Lake High School, 10920 199th Ave Ct E, Bonney Lake, WA 98391, USA
Learn more by visiting www.sumnersd.org or call (253) 891-6500.

Allan Yorke Egg Hunt for Kids

Parents, make sure you have your camera ready because this weekend the Easter Bunny is visiting Allan Yorke Park for photo ops with the kiddos before the big Easter Egg Hunt.

Children 1-11 are welcome to join in on the fun, rain or shine, just make sure they don’t forget their baskets.

Show up early and watch the Haulin’ Eggs 5k Fun Run before the hunt. Awards are given out at the end of the race to both first place male and female finishers.

Happy Easter Tehaleh residents! If not for you, this community wouldn’t be such a warm, welcoming place to live and play.

Springtime at Tehaleh: Community Events and More!

Springtime around Tehaleh offers plenty of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. The parks are warming up (finally, dry slides) and kids sports teams, like rugby and soccer, are popping up like daffodils. It’s finally the season of garage sales and outdoor markets and we can’t be more excited about it.

Quick question
do you have plans for St. Patrick’s Day weekend? What about Easter Sunday?

If not, don’t worry, I have just the thing for you. The great thing about living Tehaleh is that there are always exciting new community events and gatherings going on and they all aim to entertain the whole family.

In fact, this afternoon Trilogy at Tehaleh is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration from 3-7 where you can tour new homes, listen to awesome music and socialize while snacking on a delectable spread of Irish fare. But if you already have plans for tonight, don’t worry, there is still one other magical event happening this weekend at Tehaleh and it’s not something you’ll want to miss.

Nate Jester, an award-winning Seattle based Magician specializing in magic, mind reading and comedy is coming to Tehaleh! The show is a perfect balance of age appropriate magic and comedy. The kids will be entranced and everyone will spend the show howling with laughter. The magic tricks are awesome, and Nate masterfully engages the kids and the entire audience.

The show starts at 10:45am at the Donald Eismann Elementary School Gym but make sure you get there a little early so you and your family can find good seats.

A Friendly Reminder

Children 1-11 are welcome to join in on the fun, rain or shine, just make sure they don’t forget their baskets and you don’t forget your camera!

Oh, I almost forgot, are you free Friday night?

Would you like to get a little tipsy with your neighbors and smear paint on some canvases?

Good thing it’s Wine & Paint Night, Tehaleh residents and their cronies only, please. You know it’s going to be a great time-you’ll walk away with new friends and a pretty sign (your Uber driver doesn’t need to know about the stencils).

Get all the details from My Closet Envy and purchase your tickets prior to leaving your house.

Share the Warmth this Winter and Donate!

Head’s up Tehaleh, it’s not too late to Share the Warmth this winter by donating to local families in need.

The Bonney Lake Lions Club has asked for your help donating warm winter gear for the homeless members of our community during their Warm Gloves, Hats, Scarves and Socks Drive.

We will have a collection box set up through Sunday, Feb. 18th at The Post where you may donate new packages of socks or gloves, and new or gently used hats and scarves for all ages.

We’re not asking for heaping donations of sweaters, jackets, and boots. However, we won’t turn down one of those sweet neon-colored snow suits from the 80’s. We’re only asking for residents to spare a few everyday items to help keep the fingers, ears, and toes of our community members warm.

Just for fun, let’s do a quick mental inventory of your closet…

How many warm hats or beanies do you own? Okay, what about pairs of gloves and mittens, how many of those? Great! Now, open that sock drawer (whoa, didn’t your mother ever teach you to match?), how many pairs would you guess are in there?

I’m sure you’ve already caught on that the answers don’t really matter. If you can part with just one of these items you’ll be giving the gift of warmth to a community member in need, and that’s awesome.

Your donations are deeply appreciated.

Thank You, Tehaleh!
